<p><span class="subheading">International survey of patient groups shows EHR scepticism </span></p><p><span class="subheading"><br /></span>A survey of international patient representative groups has revealed that 65% of them are worried about the security of electronic health records. The research, carried out by HSCNews International and published by PatientView, covered non-profit organisations representing children, carers, the elderly and other patients in the US, UK and Europe, as well as a handful elsewhere in the world. Only 27% of healthcare groups thought that electronic health records would improve relations between doctors and patients, and 17% agreed they would help patients manage their own care."</p> |
